A guide to the Chakras.
Although there are thought to be over 100 Chakras, there are the 7 main Chakras that energy workers, such as Reiki and Sound Healers work with. Here I have listed them from the Crown down. Other associations with each Chakra include Essential Oils, Crystals, Sound Frequencies, Foods and much more, which I hope to write about soon but for now the most important thing is knowing the colours associated with each Chakra and their associated meanings. Chakras that are misaligned or not open, present in our lives in specific ways.
Crown Chakra
Associated colour: Violet or White.
Associated meaning: Enlightenment, Spirituality, Bliss, Open-mindedness, the absence of Ego.
Third Eye Chakra
Associated colour: Indigo.
Associated meaning: Instinct, Intuitiveness, Decision-making.
Throat Chakra
Associated colour: Blue
Associated meaning: Communication, Oratory skills, Self-expression.
Heart Chakra
Associated colour: Green.
Associated meaning: Connection, Empathy, Attachment, the ability to give and receive love.
Solar Plexus Chakra
Associated colour: Yellow.
Associated meaning: Power, Purpose, Self-esteem, Confidence, Success, Creativity.
Sacral Chakra
Associated colour: Orange.
Associated meaning: Sensuality, Self-worth, Pleasure, Sexuality, Creativity.

Associated meaning: Basic needs and security (personal, financial and emotional), Groundedness, Trust.
